This is dependent on role. A key ambition for West Mercia Police is to better represent all the communities we serve- as such recruitment from LGBTQ+ communities is important. Those colleagues in a recruitment function are likely to be there as part of their paid employment. Other members of staff / PRIDE reps are more likely to be there in an off duty capacity.
No specific budget allocated.
West Mercia Police attends and polices a wide range of community events every year covering many protected characteristic communities such as faith/belief, race and age. The term “events” is a very broad term that covers everything from local community events which would be attended by our Safer Neighbourhood Teams up to major events.
