The number of fines given out to people for riding bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters on pavements from 2017 to 2022 to date is:
2017 – 2 fines for the offence Ride a pedal cycle on a footpath / causeway by the side of a road made / set apart for the use of foot passengers (HY35006)
2018 – No fines for riding a pedal cycle, e-bike or e-scooter on a footpath
2019 – No fines for riding a pedal cycle, e-bike or e-scooter on a footpath
2020 – 1 fine for the offence Ride a pedal cycle on a footpath / causeway by the side of a road made / set apart for the use of foot passengers (HY35006)
2021 – No fines for riding a pedal cycle, e-bike or e-scooter on a footpath
2022 to date – 1 fine for the offence Drive / ride a motor vehicle on a footpath / causeway beside a road - outside Greater London (HY35001). Vehicle type recorded as e-scooter.
