I’m writing to request any data you might have about the reports of lost engagement and wedding rings.

Depending on your records, it would be great to see the numbers from the last 10-15 years, ideally split by month and year.

Are you able to reveal the gender of the person filing the report, as well?

I’m writing to request any data you might have about the reports of lost engagement and wedding rings. Depending on your records, it would be great to see the numbers from the last 10-15 years, ideally split by month and year.

• Number of offences involving the loss of engagement and wedding rings recorded in West Mercia from 1/1/2018 to 31/7/2023. Please note that records are only available from 2018 onwards:

• Please note that the person reporting the offence is not necessarily recorded as ‘person reporting’ in the crime recording system, but ‘victim’ or ‘involved party’. As there can be multiple victims/involved parties to one unique theft incident, there is a greater number of individuals (table 2) compared to number of unique offences (table 1).
