I write in connection with your request for information which was received in this office on 11^th July 2023.  Please find below the response to your request:

Dear WMP   since my prosecution for speeding earlier this year, and my complaint that the Trench Lock roundabout camera was a “money making installation”  and not a safety camera, I have since bumped into a lot of people who have been caught by this camera.

In view of this, I wish to undertake a little private research, so under freedom of information, would you please let me know the number of offences recorded by this camera in the last 12 months  and the number of collisions attended by WMP.

West Mercia Police does hold the requested information. Please see below:-

• Would you please let me know the number of offences recorded by this camera in the last 12 months 
• For the period 1^st July 2022 to 30^th June 2023, there have been 10,694 Notice of Prosecutions issued for vehicles exceeding the 30MPH limit at the A518 junction Trench Lock.

• And the number of collisions attended by WMP.
• There was 1 speed-related road traffic collision attended to during the above timeframe.
