I'm writing to request data on cases of indecent exposure handled by your force in recent years.
- Please could you provide a yearly breakdown on the number of incidences from the last 5 years.
1 a Please can you identify what gender identify the perpetrators and/or the victims are.
2 Please could you also provide the size of the population that you serve- so that we will be able to put it in per capita statistics.

Caveat: The above data includes only offences where Exposure is the recorded primary offence. It should be noted the number of victims and suspects will not necessarily tally with the number of offences due to the Home Office general counting rule for exposure type offences (one crime for each offender or group of offenders acting together) and where there is clear evidence to show the offence of exposure has been committed but the victim has declined to confirm or cannot be found; or where the offence has been reported by a third party.

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the resident population of West Mercia is 1,299,900 (recorded on Census day 21/03/2021) [ONS 2021 Census data published on 28/6/2022
