Can you provide the annual data (from 2015 to 2022) for each of the following hate crime strands disaggregated by sex of the a) victim, and b) perpetrators: Race hate crime (broken down by ethnicity) & Religion hate crime (against Muslims).

Caveat
West Mercia do not break down the race hate crime strand to particular ethnicity's. Therefore instead the ethnicity of the victim or suspect has been provided (where either has been linked to the investigation).

It is possible however that the victim is listed as the person who viewed/heard the behaviour, however it was noted directed towards them therefore the victims ethnicity may not reflect on the targeted race. |

Not all investigations have a victim or suspect linked to them because they may be unknown. |
|||||||||||||
|
For example if someone has sprayed hate graffiti on the side of a religious building but no individual victim was identified. |
|
||||||||||||
|
Or where a person has shouted hate speech in a public place persons present may not have been the target so would be listed as involved parties. |
