I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 24th November 2023. Please find below the response to your request:
I would like to know the following:
a. Data on the number of incidents of anti-social behaviour your force dealt with for each of the calendar years 2021, 2022 and 2023 (to date).
b. Data on the number of incidents of anti-social behaviour your force responded to in person (including all police officers and PCSOs) for each of the calendar years 2021, 2022 and 2023 (to date).

Caveats:
West Mercia Police started using a new call management system in July 2020. Between this date and 08/03/2022 we did not record on a call log whether or not the incident was attended by a West Mercia representative. Therefore, two tables have been provided: the first includes the total ASB calls received by West Mercia Police between 01/01/2021 and 07/03/2022 and the second includes the ASB calls received by West Mercia Police between 08/03/2022 & 30/11/2023 broken down by whether or not the incident was attended.
There are also occasions were multiple persons (for example neighbours) may call in regarding the same behaviour. If police did attend, only one of the logs would show as having been attended.
There is no specific crime category for Anti-Social Behaviour and therefore the information above has been provided from our call management system where an initial incident class type of “Anti-Social Behaviour” has been applied to it.
