I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 8^th September 2023.  Please find below the response to your request:

I would like to request all information which West Mercia Police holds in relation to incidents or fatalities at the River Severn at Atcham, Shropshire. Specifically this relates to an area of the river frequented by members of the public at Easting 354040 Northing 309253 (What 3 Words location: convinces.muddle.organ, British National Grid reference: SJ540092, Latitude: 52.679015 , Longitude: -2.6812316).

The data includes fatalities, such as drownings (if applicable) and incidents relating to water safety, such as where people have got into difficulty in the water.

If possible, additional contextual information (such as age) should be included.

Noting the location's close proximity to The Mytton and Mermaid hotel and restaurant, please can you filter out if incidents are related to that business as I am only interested in the River Severn and associated issues. Likewise, any incidents relating to the nearby roads (RTAs) should also be excluded.
