The two tables provided below relate to the gender of victims and associated victims linked to domestic related notifiable crimes.
The first is the gender (where available) of the victim/associated victim linked to each crime.
The second is the gender (where available) of unique persons who have been linked to at least one relevant crime within the time frame, ie if one person has been linked as a victim to 5 crimes they will appear 5 times in the top table and once in the bottom table.
NB: There are occasions, as outlined by the Home Office Crime Recording Standards, where more than one victim can be linked to a crime, for example in cases of harassment where multiple persons received/viewed a message. Therefore, the number of victims does not match the number of crimes.

On our crime management system, persons linked to non crimes are listed as involved parties not victim and suspect. Any persons linked to the report including children present or third parties such as grandparents or neighbours can be linked as involved parties. We are unable to discern what role each person took. Therefore, we are unable to break down by gender of victim as this is not held.
