I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 12^th January 2024.  Please find below the response to your request:

Please disclose details of sexual assault, harassment, and misconduct charges brought against members of the police force working in Herefordshire, both internally and externally, year by year from 2019-2023 inclusive. Specifically:

1) How many accusations were made against serving officers

2) How many of these allegations were upheld

3) How many of these upheld charges resulted in disciplinary action, and what actions were they?

Firstly please accept my apologies for the length of time taken for your request

1. There were 57 cases recorded for Herefordshire employees in relation to sexual assault, harassment and other misconduct, 50 cases related to serving officers.
2. In 16 of the 57 cases there were upheld allegations.
3. 10 of the upheld cases results in disciplinary actions, they are summarised as follows.  4 x cases resulted in dismissal or would have been dismissed, 1 x case final written warning and 5 x cases written warning.  23 of the cases are live and cannot be commented upon.
