Caveats: 

There are occasions where behaviour may be classed as motivated by hate but may not meet the Home Office Classification of a criminal offence.  Under Home Office guidance in such circumstances a Hate Incident can be recorded.  Please note that the above results include both hate crimes and hate incidents.

Incidents can be classed as being motivated by more than one hate strand, eg Homophobia and Transphobia.  In these circumstances one crime would be recorded but both relevant markers added.  Any crimes recorded in this way will be included in both totals.
