I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 5th July 2024. Please find below the response to your request:
This is an information request relating to Pride Month 2024.
Please include the following information:
- Whether any events have been organised for Pride month. If so please provide the date,
start and end time, and title/topic of the event
- Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride month. i.e. since the beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so please provide me with information on what has been purchased and the cost
- Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please
provide details of the nature of the sponsorship (particularly the financial value)

West Mercia Police hold some of the information you have requested
- Whether any events have been organised for Pride month. If so please provide the date, start and end time, and title/topic of the event.
West Mercia Police do not arrange any events. The local Safer Neighbourhood Teams have been and are supporting Pride events in their areas, this is part of their normal duties and managed at local divisional level. We do not hold a list of all events attended.
- Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride month. i.e. since the beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so please provide me with information on what has been purchased and the cost
No force wide merchandise has been purchased by the LGBTQ+ network however, Redditch SNT attended the Redditch Pride and purchased stickers, small flags and badges at a cost of £297.98.
- Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please provide details of the nature of the sponsorship (particularly the financial value)
West Mercia Police do not sponsor Pride events
