I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 9th July 2024.  Please find below the response to your request:

 

I would like to know about all the accidents that's happened on Bewdley bypass from first being opened up to present, no matter how big or small they were.

 

Reply

 

 

  • The Bewdley bypass was opened on 01st May 1987. Current records go back as far as March 2010

 

  • A search of police systems reveals a total of 77 collisions on the A456 Bewdley Bypass between Kidderminster Road (B4190 ) to the east and Cleobury Road (B4190) to the west.

 

 

  • These collisions can be broken down into the following categories:

 

Fatal collisions – 5

Seriously Injured collisions – 12

Slight injury collisions – 45

Damage only collisions – 15

 

Please note, damage only collisions do not have to be reported to police which may explain why this number appears so low when compared to the other categories.
