Please see the following questions below and place it as a new request:
- Can you provide figures female domestic violence survivors who were ranked as high risk from 2018 – 2024 to date and breakdown annually.
- Can you provide figures for male domestic violence survivors who were ranked as high risk from 2018 – 2024 to date and breakdown annually.
To clarify the questions above are for domestic abuse victims or anyone marked with a domestic abuse flag/marker.

West Mercia Police are unable to answer both as West Mercia Police do not rank a person as being high risk, however, West Mercia Police do rank domestic abuse-related investigations.

By applying the ‘Domestic Abuse Crime Only’ filter, it allows all offences flagged with a domestic abuse keyword, a DASH risk assessment, a DARA risk assessment or a domestic abuse investigation flag to be returned. It should also be noted, only crimes (with a domestic abuse flag) have been included in this return, meaning domestic incidents (that do not meet the threshold for a crime) have been excluded.
The search returned 13,719 unique offences (flagged as high-risk DA) recording a total of 13,931 victims, meaning an offence may have more than one victim recorded. Of those offences, there where 8,017 individual victims during the reporting period, meaning an individual could be a victim of an offence flagged as high-risk DA on more than one occasion within the same year and across multiple years.
Of those 8,017 victims, Table 4 shows the number of individual victims per year. An individual victim may have been a victim to more than one offence in the year but will only appear once in the numbers for any specific year, however, will be included in other years if they have been a victim in multiple years.
Table 5 shows how many times an individual has been a victim to a high-risk DA flagged offence across the reporting period (broken down by gender).
