1. Does your force make information and guidance about personal resilience freely available to officers and staff?

 

• YES

 

If YES - then please give examples (e.g. websites, intranet, Wellbeing Services)

 

• Information is shared during, training, workshops, presentations, cpd. Our workforce is also directed to sources of resilience support such a ‘Blue Light Together’, ‘Police Care UK’ and ‘Oscar Kilo’

   Does your force provide officers and staff with specific training on personal resilience?

 

• YES

 

If YES -then please give examples.

 

• The Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator has previously delivered a standalone ‘Resilience’ presentation via our scheduled CPD sessions. Resilience is embedded as a principal with all generic H&W presentations/workshops that are shared. Where requested Resilience workshops are delivered as a bespoke package to specific departments. We also signpost officers to investigate the suitability of a 5 day residential Resilience Programme offered by a charity called ‘Climbing Out’.

   Does your Force have a dedicated Staff Wellbeing Team/Service?

 

YES

 

If YES -please give brief details

- We have a dedicated Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator who works within our Occupational Health Team. The H&W Co-ordinator frequently collaborates with our Welfare Officers, OH Advisors and OH Nurses. All departments, Local Policing Areas and Staff Networks have a dedicated H&W SPOC that supports the distribution of the H&W messages across their area of business.

 

4. Does your Force have a dedicated staff wellbeing intranet site/website?

 

• NO

 

If NO – Then what wellbeing provision is currently available?

- The force intranet hosts Health & Wellbeing pages where information and access details to the supports, services and signposting are held. The force will be launching a new Employee Assistance Programme which will include a dedicated wellbeing platform consisting of generic and force specific H&W content.
