I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 26th November 2024. Please find below the response to your request:
, I am writing to request data on car break-ins and thefts reported to your police force for Christmas Eve (24 December) and Christmas Day (25 December) over the past 5 years or what is available if less.
I would appreciate the following details for each of the two dates:
- The total number of reported car break-ins.
- The total number of reported car thefts.
- Breakdown of incidents by location (e.g., city/town or postcode area, if available).
- Any year-on-year trends or patterns identified for these incidents over the specified period.
Reply
West Mercia Police holds the information requested; however we can only search on all vehicles and not specifically just cars. The information given will be for all vehicles.
