I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 10^th October 2024.  Please find below the response to your request:

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the use of naloxone by your police force. Specifically, I would like to know:

1. Whether your police officers carry naloxone.
2. If naloxone has been rolled out across the police force area to police officers, please confirm:

o       The date the rollout began.

o       The number of officers to whom naloxone has been distributed.

3. If your police force conducted a pilot program prior to the full rollout of naloxone:

o       Please confirm if a pilot program took place.

o       Provide details on the dates of the pilot.

o       Indicate which geographical area or division within your police force participated in the pilot.

   Whether your police officers carry naloxone.   In one pilot area, a second pilot will begin soon.
   2. If naloxone has been rolled out across the police force area to police officers, please confirm:
   o The date the rollout began.  N/A
   o The number of officers to whom naloxone has been distributed.   Pilot only, 32 officers to date.
   3. If your police force conducted a pilot program prior to the full rollout of naloxone:
   o Please confirm if a pilot program took place.  Currently in progress
   o Provide details on the dates of the pilot. From 22^nd July 2024 to date.
   o Indicate which geographical area or division within your police force participated in the pilot.   Telford at present, North Worcestershire to follow soon.
