I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 15th October 2024. Please find below the response to your request:
Please could you provide me with the following information, in Excel spreadsheet form if possible:
1) How many mental health incident calls your police force received in the following financial years: 2023/24, 2022/23 and 2021/22.
2) How many mental health incident calls your police force attended in the following financial years: 2023/24, 2022/23 and 2021/22.

West Mercia Police hold some of the information requested.
A search was carried out for all incidents with a Mental Health Qualifier. West Mercia Police changed its call management system on 2/7/2020, the new system was fully implemented on 1/4/2022 between this time no officer attendance was recorded on the call logs. We are therefore unable to provide officer attendance for the financial year 2021/22.
