For police officers at your force, from 2021 to the 15th August 2025, please provide the following information:

2) The number of police officers who have received more than one allegation/complaint relating to domestic abuse, over the period

3) The maximum number of complaints/allegations received by one individual police officer relating to DA over the period

Misconduct proceedings

4) The number of police officers who have been subject to a misconduct investigation relating to domestic abuse, by year

5) The number of police officers who have have been subject to more than one misconduct investigation relating to domestic abuse, over the period

6) The maximum number of misconduct investigations conducted on one individual police officer relating to DA over the period

Criminal investigations

7) The number of police officers who have been subject to a criminal investigation flagged as relating to domestic abuse, by year

8) The number of police officers who have been subject to more than one criminal investigation flagged as relating to domestic abuse, over the period

9) The maximum number of criminal investigations conducted on one individual police officer relating to DA over the period

West Mercia Police holds the information requested

For the complaints, there is a reliance on the complaints team using the Flag – PPDA (Police Perpetrated Domestic Abuse).  Without this the request would incite a S12 exemption as would need to go through over 7000 complaints recorded since 01/01/2021.

For criminal, there is a reliance on the Team ticking the criminal box in the system.  This means that the investigation included a criminal allegation. If this has not been done t is not included in the numbers below.
