I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 7th February 2025. Please find below the response to your request:
Please can you provide information regarding the number of thefts of cables from election vehicle charging points. If you can release data for as far back as possible please with this being fairly new technology in the UK. Can this also be broken down by monthly data.

West Mercia Police hold the information requested.
Caveat: Searches have been completed for all offences of Burglary, Theft and Sub group thefts from a vehicle with a keyword search of Charging cable which match from the free text into the Incident Summary field.
