No specific information held. West Mercia Police do not have a specific budget that relates to mental health cases.

2018/19 – nil return
2019/20 – 3 individuals arrested only for S.136
2020/21 – 3 individuals arrested only for S.136
2021/22 – 1 record unknown
2022/23 – nil return
2023/24 – nil return
Caveat: Data relates to how many times we had used Police Custody as a first place of safety where there was no criminal offence alongside the detention.
