FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 416127
I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 18th June 2025. Please find below the response to your request:
Can you please tell me how much money has been paid to store and dispose e scooters this year 2025 so far in West Mercia.
I was astounded today to find out that when the e scooter of my mine was confiscated by a officer it was sent to a storage facility and held for 14 days before disposal even though there is no way the scooter can be returned back to the owner without insurance for which there is none in the UK.
So the 14 days of storage is charged to the Police at tax payers expense for no reason whatsoever??

West Mercia Police do not pay for storing E scooters. They are stored free of charge by our contracted garages.
