The following categories were used to gain the above information Robbery – Personal, Theft from the Person & Other Theft and where the incident summary makes mention of the terms BIKE and MOBILE or PHONE.
E – Bikes have been identified if the free text incident summary specifically makes mention to the use of an e-bike, if an e-bike is simply recorded as a bike we are unable to confirm this is an e-bike hence the data may not be accurate.
West Mercia is unable to say whether the e-bike is illegal or non-compliant and have therefore reported all phone thefts involving any e-bike or motorised bicycle. E-scooters have been excluded.
