I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 4th September 2025. Please find below the response to your request:

 

I would like to request the following information for the period of 2024, and 1 January 2025 to 2 September 2025: The total number of recorded sexual offences in your police force area, for 2024 and 2025 (to September).

 

The number of recorded sexual offences where the alleged perpetrator was not a British national, for 2024 and 2025 (to September).

 

If available, a breakdown of the alleged perpetrators by nationality, for 2024 and 2025 (to September). If available, a breakdown of offence types (e.g., rape, sexual assault, harassment) allegedly committed by non-British nationals for 2024 and 2025 (to September).

West Mercia police hold some of the information requested.

 

Caveat:

 

We have provided data up to 31/08/2025 as this provides the last full month of data we have recorded.

 

Not all crimes have an identified suspect, some have more than one suspect and some suspects may be linked to more than one sexual offence within this time period.

 

It is not mandatory for a person’s nationality to be recorded on our system and therefore not all suspects have a nationality linked to them. The nationality is not verified and is completed from the data provided by persons involved in the investigation. Some suspects may have more than one nationality linked to them.
