I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 18th August 2026. Please find below the response to your request:
Please provide the following information for each of the last five full calendar years, that is 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
One, the total number of recorded domestic abuse related crimes for your force area, for each year.
Two, of those domestic abuse related crimes, the number that were closed under outcome code 16, being cases where a suspect was identified but no further action was taken because the victim did not support police action, for each year.
Three, a breakdown of the number of domestic abuse related crimes closed under each other outcome code used, for each year, so that the proportion closed under outcome 16 can be compared against other outcomes.
