Does your force conduct a driving check test, highway code test or anything else prior to allowing a basic permit?

 

How many employees do you have with a standard driving permit?

How many employees do you have with an advanced driving permit?

How many officers do you have with an initial phase pursuit driving permit?

Every employee (whether officer / staff member) that holds a valid driving licence has a Basic Authority to drive police cars.

As above. Every employee (whether officer / staff member) that holds a valid driving licence.

 

Does your force conduct a driving check test, highway code test or anything else prior to allowing a basic permit?

Police Officers complete a Basic Assessment with a Police Driving Instructor to enable them to have a Basic driving authorisation and drive marked police cars.

 

How many employees do you have with a standard driving permit?

Approximately 1,294
