Checks are carried out on police systems.
2) if checks are made on individuals, are they aware and are they informed such checks will be carried out by west Mercia police?
At the time of the request, no. However the conditions of entry on West Mercia Police website has since been updated to include:
Police system checks will be carried out on all attendees for security purposes. You will be contacted before the start of the hearing if for any reason you are not permitted to attend.
