I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 12th March 2026. Please find below the response to your request:
1) The rollout status of Right Care Right Person (RCRP) in your police force.
2) The estimated number of police hours in your police force saved due to the rollout of RCRP OR the estimated number of police hours in your police force that will be saved due to the rollout of RCRP.

On 3rd April 2023, we officially launched the Right Care, Right Person (RCRP) approach under the programme named “Most Appropriate Agency (MAA)”. This initiative was designed to ensure that police resources are only deployed when they are the most suitable agency to respond, and to redirect other types of demand to more appropriate services.
The MAA approach was extended to cover all types of demand where police are not the most appropriate agency.
