I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 20^th March 2026. Please find below the response to your request:

For the scheme year 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, please provide:

1. The total number of current employees eligible for membership of the Police Pension Scheme(s).
2. The number of those individuals who had formally opted out of membership.

This request relates only to current employees and excludes retired members, deferred members, and any individuals no longer employed.

If possible, please indicate whether the data relates solely to the 2015 Police Pension Scheme or includes any elements of the 1987 and/or 2006 schemes.

If the requested information is not held directly, but is held by your pension administrator, please advise accordingly.
