I am writing to make a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I would like to request data relating to incidents involving dogs left in vehicles, particularly in circumstances where there may have been a risk to the animal's welfare (for example, during periods of warm or hot weather).

Specifically, I request the following information for the most recent full three-year period available (2023, 2024, 2025, and any available data for 2026):

1. The number of reported incidents involving dogs left in vehicles - by month and year
2. The location of each incident - for example town / city / borough or postcode district
