I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 17^th September 2026. Please find below the response to your request:

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request recorded crime data regarding residential burglaries.

Specifically, please provide data for the following calendar years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 to date) covering the following:

Time Breakdown:

The total number of recorded residential burglary offences, broken down by

month

and by calendar week

(Week 1 through 52) of occurrence.

Regional Breakdown:

The total number of recorded residential burglary offences broken down by postcode area.

West Mercia Police have conducted searches and hold the following information.

Caveat: The Home Office Primary Offence Groups in relation to residential burglaries changed in April 2023, this search is for the both the old and current offence groupings.

Where an offence has not come to the homeowners notice immediately (for example persons on holiday) the date provided is earliest possible date that the offence could have occurred. When providing data for publication we generally use the created date, therefore this data may not reflect published data.

The week numbers are provided as per the ISO calendar, Week 1 therefore does not always start on the 1^st January and some weeks can include dates from more than 1 month.
