Number of offences/notices given to people for not wearing a seat belt in a vehicle
Please provide the number of people (drivers and passengers) issued with a fixed penalty notice or other enforcement notice for failing to wear a seatbelt in a motor vehicle, for each of the following calendar years:
- 2016
- 2017
- 2018
- 2019
- 2020
- 2021
- 2022
- 2023
- 2024
- 2025
If the information is recorded as the number of offences/notices rather than the number of individuals, please provide that figure instead.
I am only requesting the total figure for each year and do not require any further breakdown.
If you can’t provide the full 10 years, please provide the last 3 years.
