I write in connection with your request for information which was received on 30^th September 2026.  Please find below the response to your request:

Please treat this as a substantially narrowed request seeking only the following two figures for Worcester:

1. Current Registered Sex Offenders

Please provide the current total number of Registered Sex Offenders recorded as residing within Worcester, as at the date the information is extracted.

I am not requesting any information concerning individual offenders, index offences or victim ages.

2. Recorded Sexual Offences Against Children – 2025

Please provide the total number of recorded sexual offences in Worcester between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025 where the victim was aged 0–17 inclusive.

This question relates solely to recorded crime data and does not require any examination of Registered Sex Offender records.

If the precise geographical boundary of Worcester cannot be used for either figure, please provide the information for the smallest readily searchable geographical area covering Worcester and identify the geographical area used.

If either figure cannot be supplied using precisely these definitions, I would be grateful if you could provide the closest readily available figure and explain any differences in methodology or geographical boundaries.
