Alleged Conduct
1. Whilst on duty on the 4th January 2026 PC Herwin was involved in a call for service,
following reports of a male suffering with a mental health episode, in Shrewsbury
which PC Herwin attended in his capacity as a serving police officer. During this incident
PC Herwin assaulted, without cause or justification, said member of public.
2. As a result of the assault referred to in paragraph 1 PC Herwin appeared before
Birmingham Magistrates Court on the 8th July 2026 where PC Herwin entered a guilty plea
to an offence of assault by beating. On the same day PC Herwin was given an absolute
discharge.
