Accelerated Misconduct Hearing Outcome
Former Officer concerned: Macauley Sergeant

Summary
It was alleged that the former officer:
On the 7th May 2024, during the course of his duties as a police officer, he was dispatched to a Grade 1 incident, where he met a female member of the public who had reported she was a victim of harassment / stalking.
Following this, he has then made inappropriate contact with the victim outside of his professional policing duties, which has led to a sexual relationship.

Decision
The Chair decided that Former Officer Macauley Sergeant would have been dismissed without notice if he had not ceased to be a member of West Mercia Police.
As a consequence of this outcome Former Officer Macauley Sergeant will be placed on the College of Policing Barred List.
