Summary
- It was alleged that the officer submitted inaccurate overtime claims. It was accepted that this was not done deliberately, however, on receipt of his payslip and the overpayment, he did not raise the matter with anyone or repay the overpayment.
- It was further alleged that the officer dishonestly submitted claims for on-call honorariums for on-call sessions that he did not perform.

Allegation 1 - Honesty and Integrity and Discreditable conduct. On the balance of probabilities, the panel found that PS Nightingale dishonestly failed to declare receipt of an overpayment. The panel also accepted that by acting dishonestly, PS Nightingale did not act with integrity. Allegation 2 - On the balance of probabilities, the panel did not find that PS Nightingale dishonestly claimed for on call honorarium that he had not covered. |
Decision
The Panel’s decision was that PS Nightingale should be dismissed without notice and placed on the College of Policing's barred list.
