Criminals continue to take advantage of coronavirus vaccine roll-out with phishing emails
The email, which attempts to trick people into handing over their bank details, was reported more than 1,000 times in 24 hours. It appears to come from the NHS and asks the recipient to click on a link to accept or decline an invitation to receive the coronavirus vaccine. If they click accept, they are asked to input personal information and their bank card details.

Vulnerable people and jewellery shops targeted in scam
We are aware that criminals pretending to be police officers are again attempting to defraud people in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, in a scam known as ‘Courier Fraud’. Some jewellery shops are also being taking advantage of as part of the scam.

Drive drink and drug free
During December West Mercia Police took part in the national Drink/Drug Drive campaign with the aim of cracking down on those motorists willing to risk mixing driving with having alcohol or drugs in their system. Local figures show some motorists across West Mercia are still willing to risk mixing drinking or being under the influence of drugs with driving.
