Six people arrested following death in Telford
Three men have been sentenced for a total of 33 years after a shot was fired at a police car in March 2020.
Following a number of isolated incidents and complaints around the use of Electric Scooters West Mercia Police are reminding those using private e scooters of the legislation currently in place governing their use.
The incident happened on Tuesday 8 June, between 11pm and 11.30pm in Lychgate Walk, a footpath that runs through the church grounds between King Street and Church Street in Wellington.
There is currently a road closure in place for Castle Street, Shrewsbury following the report of a serious assault in the early hours of this morning (10 June).
David John Butcher who is 54 years old and currently serving a 12 year prison sentence for sexual offences, has had a further 12 years added to his sentence by a judge at Crown Court for further, recently disclosed historic sexual offences.

David Venables, aged 88, Kempsey, was charged with murder on Tuesday 8 June and will appear in Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15 June.
