Two people charged following robberies in Bromsgrove

A man and a teenager have both been charged and remanded following an investigation into recent armed robberies in Bromsgrove.

Umair Mughal who is 18-years-old and from the Harborne area of Birmingham and a 15 year old boy also from Birmingham (who can’t be named for legal reasons),  have both been charged with attempted robbery, robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

The charges relate to an incident on Thursday 2 July in Bromsgrove when two children aged 12 and 14 were threatened and robbed.

The 15-year-old has also been charged with a second count of robbery following an incident near to Bromsgrove Train Station on Wednesday 8 July when a teenage boy was the victim of a robbery and threatened with a weapon.

Both suspects were arrested on 9 July in Bromsgrove. They appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Saturday morning and were remanded by the court.
