Man arrested following fraud attempt

On the 22 April an elderly man reported to have been significantly defrauded out of thousands of pounds for building work to his home he didn’t need. 

A man in his 30s from Stourport has been arrested on suspicion of committing Fraud by False Representation and has been released under investigation.

PC Jade Hounsell said: “We are continuing to investigate this case and would ask people to please check with their elderly relatives and friends that they haven’t had a similar experience and if so to please get in touch with us.

”Please remember to check who you are answering your door to, always obtain two separate quotes and be aware of the 7 day cooling off period that contractors are obliged by.
