Youth charged with possession of a knife

A 15-year-old has been charged with possession of a knife in Redditch.

CCTV security teams spotted a group of youths on Vine Street at around 4pm on Saturday 23 April, and immediately contacted the police.

Officers attended, and three youths were arrested, one has been charged with possession of a knife.

Two other 15-year-olds, who were also arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife, have been released under investigation.

Safer Neighbourhood Officers have increased patrols in Redditch to offer reassurance to the local community, and will maintain a highly visible presence over the coming days.
