Update on earlier incident in Kidderminster

Following reliable reports at around 7.35pm this evening (Monday 14 November) that potentially, someone may have entered the canal behind Sainsbury's on Carpet Trades Way, Kidderminster, officers assisted Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Service in a thorough investigation of the water.

We are pleased to report than our joint examination of the canal and surrounding area has found no evidence of anyone in distress and all emergency services have now left the scene.

We would like to thank the public for their patience while we understandably took the time to make sure no one needed our assistance.
