Appeal after man left in critical condition after assault

Detectives investigating an assault in Worcester which has left a man in a critical condition are appealing for witnesses.

The assault happened around 5.15am this morning (Sunday 26 February) in Exeter Road. A 29 year old man suffered serious injuries after he was attacked, he is currently in hospital in a critical condition.

Two people – a man aged 46 and a 40 year old woman – have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).

Enquiries are on-going and police are appealing for the public’s help.

Detective Inspector Laura Douglas said: “People will see an increased police presence around Exeter Road as we carrying out our enquiries into this assault.

"I would ask anyone who may have any information that could help, including any CCTV or camera footage in the area from early this morning, to get in contact with us.”
