Appeal following a serious assault in Droitwich

A man has been arrested following a serious assault in Drovers way, Droitwich on Tuesday 24 January.

A man in his 30’s suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital. 

Following enquiries a 32-year-old man was arrested for attempt murder and has been released on bail.

Detective Inspector Chris Percival of Worcester Reactive CID said: "The community at Droitwich will be aware that at 8.30pm on Tuesday (24 January) a number of streets were shut by police around the Westlands in Droitwich. This was because a local man was found with serious injuries in the street.

“A man from Surrey was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has since been released on bail. It’s believed those involved in the incident are known to each other and we are satisfied there is no wider risk to the community.”

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information to please come forward and speak to us. We would especially like to hear from anyone with dash-cam or ring doorbell footage of the incident which may help with the investigation.
