Broadwaters SNT is boxing clever for young people

Broadwaters SNT is in the corner with Big Local DY10 and Homestart Wyre Forest to try and land some knockout funding to support young people at Mikey’s boxing club in Kidderminster.

PCSO Andy Stevens of Broadwaters SNT said hooking these youngsters in to an alternative to hanging around the streets will give them a new focus and enable them to get some exercise too.

PCSO Stevens said: “Anti-social behaviour and related issues are a priority for the Broadwaters team and presenting local youths with a rewarding activity will help us champion tackling these issues.”

“It is only thanks to Big Local DY10 and Homestart Wyre Forest that these funds have been made available to compliment and reinforce our positive engagement.”

This week (July 3 to 9) is Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week and West Mercia Police is urging members of the public not to suffer in silence if they experience ASB.

Incidents can be reported to the anti-social behaviour team at your local council, or to the Police if you feel that you are at immediate risk or in danger.
