Katie Wadsworth, 38, of Westcott Road in Kidderminster has been convicted of seven shoplifting offences and sentenced to almost nine months in prison.
Wadsworth was convicted of the offences on 27 May 2023 at Worcester Magistrates’ Court and sentenced to 14 weeks in prison. She was already serving a 26 week suspended sentence for previous shoplifting offences, which was activated on conviction of the latest offences, bringing her total sentence to almost nine months in prison.
All the offences were committed in Kidderminster.
PC Russell Bunce of the Wyre Forest safer neighbourhood team, said: “Katie Wadsworth has been a prolific shoplifter for some time and caused significant losses to the businesses she has targeted in Kidderminster.
“I’m pleased that she will now face the consequences of her actions and serve a custodial sentence.”
