Police are appealing for information following a knifepoint robbery in Redditch
Officers were called to Banners Lane in Redditch at approximately 9.30pm on Saturday 6 May.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was walking the pathway between Banners Lane and Kenneth Vincent Close in Crabs Cross in Redditch when he was threatened and robbed by two teenagers. The offenders held a large knife to the victim’s throat and stole a Canada Zavetti parker coat, a Gucci style pouch bag, £60-80 cash and a data bank for a mobile phone and then made off on foot in the direction of Evesham Road.

The suspects are described as:
Suspect 1 :– white, 16-18-years-old, 6ft tall, slim build, wearing a black tracksuit zipped up at the front, wearing a t-shirt over his head as a makeshift balaclava.
Suspect 2 :– white, 16-18-years-old, 5ft11 tall, wearing a grey tracksuit and dark coloured boy warmer, also with a t-shirt over his head as a balaclava only exposing the eyes.
We are interested in hearing from anyone who lives in the local area who has any doorbell footage that may have captured the two suspects before and after they committed this robbery.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ian Tomlinson on 01562 826105 or email [email protected]
Alternatively, if you have information but don’t feel comfortable speaking to police, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers. It is 100% anonymous, they never ask your name and they cannot trace your call or I.P address. You can contact them online or by calling 0800 555 111.
