Man sentenced for involvement in County Lines

A Redditch man has been given a 30-month custodial sentence for his role in supplying class A drugs in the town.

Harvey Peach, of Upper Fields Close in Redditch, was found guilty at Worcester Crown Court of being concerned in supply of crack, concerned in supply of heroin, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of criminal property and fail to stop.

The 18-year-old was arrested and charged following an operation carried out by officers from the North Worcestershire’s County Lines Team and Roads Policing Officers into the ‘Emz’ County Line.

In September 2023 officers identified Peach as possibly dealing from his Ford Fiesta and attempted to stop the vehicle before he made off through Sainsbury’s car park in Redditch before dumping the vehicle and running off.

Peach was detained shortly after and a search of his car found a large hunting knife and a mobile phone, which contained evidence of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

At Worcester Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 22 November) Peach was given a 26-month sentence for drugs and driving offences, a four-month sentence for possessing an offensive weapon and ordered to pay £1,125.

DC David Laver said: “We welcome the sentence that has been handed to Peach, and I hope this sentence will give a clear message to anyone who is involved in drugs that we will do all we can to stop them.
