With the darker nights drawing in we are sharing simple ways to protect your home.
It is much easier for burglars to operate using the cover of night and they embrace the longer hours of darkness, but you can help yourself from being a victim of crime.
Head of prevention, Superintendent Edward Hancox says “It is easy to forget to lock up when you are in a rush, so always make this the last thing you do when your leave your home.
“Even when you return, always lock up behind you to help protect your property against opportunist burglars that may try a door in the hope it is open whilst they are under darkness”.
