A career in policing awaits ahead of Shrewsbury recruitment event

A pathway to a career in policing could be within reach at our upcoming recruitment event, taking place at Shrewsbury College (SY2 6PR) on Saturday, November 16, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

We are hosting the event to provide the public with an insight into the opportunities and rewards of a career as a West Mercia Police officer.

No tickets are required for this event – just drop in!

Attendees will have the chance to speak with serving officers and staff from various units, including armed response, dog handlers, and the roads policing unit, offering an insight into the diverse career paths available to officers after completing their training.

Our recruitment team will also be available to help you begin your application on the spot and answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your application with the guidance and support of our knowledgeable team.

We will be showcasing all our entry routes, which means we may have the right entry route for you:

• Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP): If you would prefer not to pursue a degree.
• Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA): If you want to work while earning a degree.
• Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP): If you already hold a degree.
• Detective Entry Routes: If you aspire to become a detective.
• Professional Policing Degree Route: If you already have a policing degree.
